Poland

The Polish national team have grown a great deal over the past years. The Poles have been heavily relying on their attacking star Lewandowski from Bayern Munich who has been in a stunning shape this year, scoring incredible 13 goals in the qualification. In preparation for the tournament, Poland have played four friendly matches so far and they have won them all. After beating Iceland (4:2), they bested the Czechs (3:1), defeated Serbia (1:0) and hammered Finland (5:0). In fact, Poland won six out of their last seven matches and they are confident they can produce yet another glorious victory in the upcoming duel against the Dutch.

Netherlands

The Holland national team have been in a completely different situation than their rivals. Although the Dutch still have a number of world-class players in their squad, they did unexpectedly miserable in the EURO 2016 qualification, ending up as low as in the fourth spot in the group behind the Czech Republic, Iceland and Turkey. Despite not having qualified for the tournament, Blind´s team arranged mostly top-notch sides as their opponents for their friendly games. In the first friendly match after the qualifying failure, the Dutch bested Wales (3:2). In their next game, the Netherlands faced the EURO 2016 hosts France but not even the home advantage helped them produce a good result in the fixture as Oranjes lost 2:3 to their rivals. However, just a few days later, the Dutch pulled together, claiming quite an unexpected win (2:1) at England. In their last friendly encounter, the Netherlands took on Ireland who they held to a 1:1 draw. Let us see how the struggling Dutch cope with confident and dangerously in-form Poland.
